Charlie was bought by the Stud as a yearling to fulfill the role of an outcross stallion.  He was bred on the Island of Muck and was transported to the mainland by boat.  He was the first foal out of a 21 year old mare, Mary of Muck, and he is by Strathmashie Seamus Mhor (pictured below).
